Sharing with our students the love of the Earth, the importance of it and of resources which sustain our lives – by reading rocks, we understand how our Earth evolved and use the evidence to protect us into the future.
In #therealclassroom students tune into the Earth, their curiosity is ignited and lifelong learning begins.
Dani Tamati
Board Member, General
As an industry professional in careers, talent, and recruitment with 30 years of experience in the mining industry and having spent 14 years living and working in remote WA mining towns, I have always wanted to ensure a strong talent pipeline continues for our sector. This starts with introducing careers available to children in schools.

Australia's future and place in the world will be made by talented, engaged and enthusiastic STEAM professionals across a range of sectors. As someone who's proud to make a difference in Australian mining, it's great to support the CoRE Learning Foundation model and its track record of real world success, which makes a tremendous contribution to earth science learning and building a longer and stronger talent pipeline for mining and other great Australian industries.

I believe that delivering practical and relevant education to future generations is critically important, Core engages and exposes students from all walks of life to the critical STEM skills required to solve future problems in a fun and engaging way. Briony has had a long term interest in STEAM education, particularly for girls and nonbinary kids. The CoRE program attracted them because of the focus on business units that allows all students to use their strengths to learn and grow together.

B Education
I have been in Education for 40 years in a number of city and country locations. I have been involved with CoRE for the past four years and was one of the first schools, in the expansion process, to take the opportunity to introduce CoRE to students at Tom Price SHS. CoRE has expanded into the three primary schools in Tom Price and Paraburdoo as well as from Yr 7 to Yr 11 at Tom Price SHS in 2022. CoRE gives students 21st century life skills in an innovative STEM/STEAM approach that incorporates the Western Australian curriculum in it’s student centred, project based learning.
