As an industry professional in careers, talent, and recruitment with 30 years of experience in the mining industry and having spent 14 years living and working in remote WA mining towns, I have always wanted to ensure a strong talent pipeline continues for our sector. This starts with introducing careers available to children in schools.

B Education
I have been in Education for 40 years in a number of city and country locations. I have been involved with CoRE for the past four years and was one of the first schools, in the expansion process, to take the opportunity to introduce CoRE to students at Tom Price SHS. CoRE has expanded into the three primary schools in Tom Price and Paraburdoo as well as from Yr 7 to Yr 11 at Tom Price SHS in 2022. CoRE gives students 21st century life skills in an innovative STEM/STEAM approach that incorporates the Western Australian curriculum in it’s student centred, project based learning.
