Sharing with our students the love of the Earth, the importance of it and of resources which sustain our lives – by reading rocks, we understand how our Earth evolved and use the evidence to protect us into the future.
In #therealclassroom students tune into the Earth, their curiosity is ignited and lifelong learning begins. Awaken the scientist in kids, move them onto deeper thinking and learning in contextually-set, authentic, relevant and meaningful environments and they will apply this knowledge and skills turning situations into solutions: Hands-on Science, Hands-on Engineering – this is real STEM Learning.

I first discovered CoRE through an internship at Curtin University, where I was introduced to their innovative approach to education. Drawn to their mission of bringing more hands-on, real-world learning into Australian classrooms, I continued my involvement as a volunteer, immersing myself in CoRE’s collaborative and inspiring culture.
I believe that learning by doing gives students the essential skills to thrive in life. I truly appreciate how this approach nurtures both academic and soft skills, properly preparing young adults for life beyond school. I’m proud to be a part of CoRE and I’m excited to continue contributing to projects that inspire and empower the next generation.

Growing up in Northern Canada, I became a fierce advocate for equal opportunities in education, which meant that teaming up with the not-for-profit CoRE Learning Foundation was important to me.
I joined the team to help offer exceptional STEM education and industry opportunities to regional and remote teachers and students in WA Today, I use my stakeholder engagement knowledge, fundraising, and sales experience to help solidify the CoRE Learning Model as a benchmark for hands-on learning in every classroom around Australia.

Briony has had a long term interest in STEAM education, particularly for girls and nonbinary kids. The CoRE program attracted them because of the focus on business units that allows all students to use their strengths to learn and grow together.
