CoRE Educator - Head of Schools (Open Now)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a full-time, dynamic leader who is ready to do education differently.

Working alongside the CoRE Lead, the Head of Schools will coordinate and steward our metro and regional CoRE schools network across Western Australia, delivering dynamic and evolving learning philosophies through the CoRE Learning Model.

We are seeking an experienced Science (STEM) educator who believes learning extends beyond classroom walls and is passionate about creating pathways for young people into STEM careers in the resources sector. You are curious, energetic and deeply committed to both student outcomes and educator growth. You are comfortable working within ambiguity, energised by innovation and driven by impact. You don’t simply deliver programs or coordinate visits, you steward ideas, relationships and futures.

This role combines hands-on delivery with classroom educators and school leaders, coordination across school administration networks, and active support of the CoRE Lead during field trips and Foundation activities. A key component of the role is liaising with industry experts to create meaningful mentoring, volunteering, site visit and real-world learning opportunities for teachers and students.

We are particularly interested in candidates with STEM qualifications and a strong interest or background in Earth Sciences. The role will suit someone excited by travel, the outdoors and regional engagement, and ready to build a lifestyle around meaningful, purpose-driven work.

This is an active position requiring regular regional travel and participation in outdoor field trips. You must be able to meet the physical demands of travel and expeditions and hold a valid Western Australian driver’s licence.

If this sounds like you, CoRE would love to hear from you.

The article presents an intriguing model of educational innovation centered around STEM, but one must consider the broader implications of such initiatives.
