We are thrilled to announce that IGO Limited will continue to support the CoRE Learning Foundation in 2024. This ongoing partnership has been instrumental in delivering the CoRE Learning Model to schools across Australia, and we are excited to see the continued positive impact on students and communities.
Bridging Education and Industry
The CoRE Learning Model connects students with real-world STEM applications, making learning engaging and relevant through hands-on projects, industry insights, and innovative approaches. CoRE alumni Denzyl Moncrieff and James Fox now work with IGO Limited, and Lucy Howe is doing an honours project with them, demonstrating how CoRE prepares students for impactful careers in the resources sector.
IGO's Commitment to Education
IGO Limited, an ASX 100 company focused on clean energy metals, has been a proud supporter of CoRE since 2020. Their commitment goes beyond financial support. IGO actively participates in educational initiatives, providing role models and mentors for students.
Hands-On Learning with Industry Experts
Through the CoRE + IGO Graduates Hands-On Learning Program, IGO graduates work directly with students on STEM projects. This program enhances students' learning experiences and provides graduates with opportunities to develop their leadership and mentoring skills. It's a partnership that brings the industry's future leaders into the classroom.
Innovative Educational Games
We have been working hard updating our innovative educational games with our Gamifying Earth Science Initiative, such as Resource! Respond! Rescue! and Old as Dirt. These learning tools play a significant role in making STEM subjects fun and engaging. These games are currently being updated to include the latest advancements, ensuring they continue to be valuable educational tools.
Looking Ahead
Our partnership with IGO Limited continues to be a strong pillar in our mission to inspire and educate the next generation. With their support, we can bring the CoRE Learning Model and Gamifying Earth Science initiative to more schools, connecting education with industry and preparing students for successful careers.
